Rhinoplasty

Low Nasal Bridge

Bridge height influences the profile, apparent eye spacing, tip balance, and how light falls across the nose. A higher bridge is not automatically a more natural or harmonious bridge.

Understand the anatomy

What may contribute

Bridge height is determined by bone, cartilage, skin and soft tissue, prior surgery or injury, and inherited facial anatomy. Tip projection can also change how low the bridge appears.

Individual assessment

How the concern is evaluated

Planning compares bridge height and width with the forehead, eyes, cheeks, lips, chin, tip support, skin thickness, and airway. Implant or graft choices require individual examination.

Options that may be discussed

Augmentation rhinoplasty may use an implant or tissue graft in selected patients. Material, height, width, fixation, skin coverage, and revision considerations must be discussed before surgery.
