What Is Dimplasty?

Dimplasty, also called dimple creation surgery or dimpleplasty, is a minor facial procedure that creates a controlled attachment between the inner cheek and the overlying skin. The intended effect is a dimple that becomes visible with smiling and may remain subtly visible at rest during early healing.

Promotional Price

01

Single Dimple — ₱30,000

One cheek is treated after confirming the preferred location and expected relationship to the smile.

02

Paired Dimples — ₱40,000

Both cheeks are planned together while accounting for normal facial asymmetry.

Who May Be a Candidate?

Dimple creation may be considered by healthy adults who understand that dimple position, depth, symmetry, and persistence cannot be guaranteed. An in-person examination is required to assess cheek thickness, smile movement, oral health, facial asymmetry, scarring history, and whether the requested placement is anatomically appropriate.

Recovery, Limitations, and Risks

The dimple may look deeper or remain visible at rest during early healing. It usually becomes more dynamic as swelling settles, although healing varies. Normal asymmetry may remain, and the final depth cannot be predicted precisely.

Risks include bleeding, infection, swelling, pain, oral wound problems, asymmetry, an overly deep or shallow dimple, persistence at rest, loss of the dimple, scarring, numbness, injury to nearby structures, and possible revision.

Dimplasty creates a permanent internal tissue attachment. Placement and candidacy cannot be determined safely from a photo alone; an in-person assessment is required.

Frequently asked questions

Dimplasty FAQs

Will the dimple show at rest?

It may be visible at rest during early healing. It commonly softens and becomes more noticeable with smiling, but the final behavior varies.

Can both cheeks be treated?

Yes, when appropriate. Natural facial asymmetry is considered during planning, and perfectly identical dimples cannot be guaranteed.

Is there an external scar?

The planned incision is inside the mouth, so there is no planned external skin incision. Internal scar behavior still affects the result.

Can the dimple disappear?

Loss or weakening of the dimple is possible and is one of the limitations discussed before surgery.

When can I return to normal activity?

Many patients resume light daily activity quickly, but swelling, oral care, dietary restrictions, and follow-up instructions should be considered.
