They Are Not Interchangeable

Silicone is a smooth, shaped implant. Gore-Tex is a porous material that allows some tissue integration. Each has different advantages, limitations, and revision considerations.

Material Is Only One Decision

Skin thickness, bridge height, tip support, previous surgery, healing tendency, and the surgeon’s planned technique matter as much as the implant name.

There Is No Universal Winner

The better choice is the material and technique that fit the patient’s anatomy, goals, and risk profile after assessment.
