V-Line / Double Chin
Double Chin
Fullness below the chin can come from superficial fat, deeper tissues, skin laxity, a short or underprojected chin, neck anatomy, or a combination.

What may contribute
Submental fat is only one possible contributor. Chin projection, jaw position, skin quality, platysma, salivary-gland anatomy, weight change, and natural neck shape can affect the contour.
Individual assessment
How the concern is evaluated
Evaluation looks at the profile, chin-to-neck angle, fat distribution, skin recoil, chin projection, jawline, medical history, and whether the concern changes with posture.

Options that may be discussed
V-Line liposuction may help selected patients with accessible fat and adequate skin quality. Chin augmentation or a different treatment may be more relevant when skeletal projection or laxity is the main issue.
